Unit One: Elements of Fiction
Week 1-2
Days 1-2: Classroom expectations/student introductions, code of conduct
HW: Comment on Website blog, register for Remind101, NoRedInk, Vocabulary.com
HW: GET FAMILIAR WITH OFFICE APPS (ESPECIALLY ONENOTE/CLASSNOTEBOOK)
HW: turn in the bottom section of syllabus signed by you and parent/guardian
Days 3-4: Notes on Analyzing texts and common acronyms we'll use in class (TPEEES, ACE, MIST).
HW: Take NoRedInk diagnostic and begin 1st vocabulary list (check calendar for due dates).
Day 5: Definition/Element terms Review (handout needed)
Day 6-7: Monkey's Paw: Tracing Plot, Suspense, and Foreshadowing (textbook and activity)
**testing for reading and writing will interrupt this schedule**
